Bib Collection
We recommend that participants collect their bib on Friday, 21st November at The Estate Cafe, Mallanduru between 12:00 Noon and 6:00 PM.
If not, you can pick up your bib 90 minutes prior to your race from our Helpdesk in the Start Area on 22nd.
Note that we will hand over the bib to the registered participant after ID check
Start and Finish Area
The Start and Finish line for all categories is the same. It is equipped with a running kitchen, dining area, baggage drop, medical tent, rest area, finisher areas and more
Vehicles must be parked in the designated parking area and participants are required to walk a 5-7 minutes to our Start Area. Vehicles will not be allowed in the Start Area.
Start Line
The Start times on November 22nd, 2025 are listed below. We request participants to arrive at least 90 minutes prior to their start. Hot breakfast will be served from 5:00 AM.
100 Km: 6:30 AM
50 Km (Day): 7:00 AM
30 Km: 7:30 AM
50 Km (Night): 4:30 PM

Approaching Aid Station 1
There will be some congestion when you leave the Start Area due to the volume of runners, but it will spread out within the first few kms.
A climb of about 320 metres will get you to Aid Station 1 around the 6.5 Km mark

Aid Station
Our Aid Stations are stocked with Water, Unived Electrolyte, Bananas, Oranges, Peanuts, Bread, Peanut Butter, Jam, Biscuits, Salt, Jaggery and more.
Note that we do not use disposable materials at our event. Participants must use their own bottle or our reusable steel glasses

Runnable Sections
Experienced trail runners will find many sections through the coffee estates of our course runnable. The course is completely non-technical and does not require any special equipment. Trekking poles are permitted.
Enjoy the orchestras performed by Cicadas and birds

Mid-run Food
Our Aid Station 3 at around 26 Km for all categories is stocked with some hot food in addition to other supplies.
Dinner for 100 Km participants will be available here around the 76 Km mark on the second loop

Rolling Hills
Runners will encounter several rolling hills on our course.
50 K and 100 K runners will start a 400 metre climb towards Tottalapana Gudda around the 31 Km mark after Aid Station 4. An 8 Km loop brings you back to the same Aid Station.

Land of Coffee
Coffee and hills are the theme of our event and runners will encounter many miles of coffee plantations.

Expansive Views
While we will have a small photography team on the course, there are several scenic spots on the course
Plenty of Shade
There is plenty of shade on our course although runners can expect sun exposure at higher elevations

Night Section
We have introduced a 50 Km Night Edition for those that want to experience the thrill of night-running.
Of course, a majority of 100 K runners will also experience our night sections. 100 K runners can avail a pacer in the second loop by having a friend register for the 50 K Night Edition.
Headlights or flashlights are mandatory

Finish Line
We believe that trail running is not about prizes or podium finishes and celebrate every runner that comes to our start line.
Please note that we take our cut-offs seriously and will mark a Did-Not-Finish (DNF) to runners that miss them even by a few seconds.

Finisher Medal & Photos
In the true tradition of trail running worldwide, finishers at Malnad Ultra will get a Buckle!
We will also share free photographs from the event about three weeks after the event! Yes, it takes our team of volunteers this much time to process about 15,000 photos from the event because most of them juggle their day jobs to help with our event
